I would like to give zero stars. When you call his office, the recording says do not leave a message due to the high volume of calls they receive, they will not return calls. This is so true. They seldom answer the phone and do not return calls. I have struggled trying to get appointments and call as soon as I get a postcard telling me to make an appointment...his availability is a joke. Don't have a practice if you are not going to be there or don't take on new clients if you are not going to be available to assist them. He put me on a medication that had horrible side effects, I tried to keep using it because my plaque psoriasis was so bad. When I tried to get off of it, his response was, you said you wanted to take it. He also put me on a blood pressure medicine because of one of the side effects. When my prescription ran out and I was frantically trying to get it refilled, his receptionist told me he is a dermatologist and doesn't prescribe these kinds of medicines. What a joke. He can not refill the prescription because he needs to see me, but I can't get an appointment. Seriously, I asked if he could give me a month's supply so I could find a dr to see me. His answer is no. My husband thinks the receptionist probably didn't even ask him, because no doctor would respond that way!!!! Thank goodness, my husband is also a doctor, and he reached out to get me an appointment with another doctor to continue this medicine that is NOT supposed to be stopped abruptly. This man should lose his medical license. Wouldn't matter because he doesn't even work. His receptionist told me he is now seeing patients 3 days a month. WHAT????? I never was given any notice of this. Wouldn't a responsible doctor send out a mailing or call current patients and tell them this??????

Got diagnosed with different things both times I went. Tried asking about and got treated like I was an idiot. Most rushed appointment I have ever had. Dude is just coasting by until retirement at this point. Id avoid

My eyelids started getting dry and swollen, and it got to the point I could barely see anything. I called Dr. Schmidt's office and told them about my situation and was sure they would put me on a waitlist a month down the line. But after explaining my emergency to the staff, they squeezed me in into an appointment literally same day in 20 minutes. The staff are super nice and caring, and Dr. Schmidt took his time in explaining and diagnosing what was happening, and gave me some excellent remedies to keep the swelling and dryness down. I followed his methods and now I can see again! Thank you, Dr. Schmidt!!

Dr. Schmidt has always been very helpful and expedient in diagnosing any skin issues and offering treatment. He is very empathetic and I trust his expertise. The Healthlens telemedicine appointments also allow for me to get skin problems solved quickly when I am too busy to find time for an appointment.

Dr. Schmidt was fantastic. I was so amazed that he looked at my issue and took care of it right there on the spot. Having had this issue before other dr's would make you come back and book another appointment to have things removed. He did such a great job, quick and painless.
