Michelle, the supposed "vice president" of the company, claims there is no one above her and her illegal behavior is unable to be accounted for. I'd love for the owner of the company to reach out to resolve my problem, otherwise I'll have to reach out to my local courts. Dahn Corp & mini U don't record their phone calls, but luckily I do. Michelle has demanded the recordings several times as a condition of me collecting my belongings to move out of the storage, however, this violates the contract and lease agreement as there is no statue in the mini u storage lease stating I must surrender my personal recordings in order to retrieve my belongings. As I am I'm colorado, and colorado is a one party state, I'm not required to share the recordings with anyone else. At this point, I'd be happy to share them with the company owner so he or she can see how their team treats well paying clients, or I'm happy to turn it over to an attorney to assist me with further action. Denying a disabled tenant ADA reasonable accommodations is against federal law and i will see justice for this mistreatment.

Do not store your personal belongings with this corporation or any of its affiliates. Brian Dahn is an investor who lives in California. He does not care to build relationships within the local communities where he builds his storage units or buys existing units. His customers feed his cash machine. I have had my storage unit for 10+ years. In September I notified Debbie, the local manager, I would be vacating my unit. I spoke with 3 different office staff in September, well before my monthly billing due date, to ask if they would forgive my late fee for October and allow me to pay my final bill (after 10+ years of paying on time every month) mid-month. I received a, "yeah, I think that will be okay," to no return calls from the manager, Debbie, confirming this. Instead, she got hostile with me about the matter. I called her supervisor, Michelle, who was also quite hostile, and said, that even though the lack of communication on their part caused me the late fee, they would not waive it. It's such a shame that investors like this come into local communities only to feed their cash machine. I can only recommend to those reading this, do not do business with the Dahn Corporation or any of its affiliates. The constant significant rate increases and then bully mentality when you are forced to vacate your storage unit because of the increases, are not worth it to your finances or your mental health.

I have been with the same storage facility for almost 4 years with the occasional rate increase, but have always been notified by the previous owner. Dahn purchased the Mini U Storage in Arlington TX and doubled my rate without notification and took advantage of an automatic payment option to take more money that I have agree to. I have contacted the manager at the Mini U Storage in Arlington and was advised that they do not call or mail notifications to their customers, said he sent an email that I never received. The company has refused to refund the difference and offered me a 10% discount off of the current rate. Harry at Mini U Storage has indicated that this is the practice of the Dahn Corporation and I should contact them to complain, I have not heard back from them as of yet. Shady business practices lead to you not receiving another penny from this customer that has always paid my bill on time.
