First and last time using this service today. My Dad had a post-surgery appointment today at 2:30. We scheduled pickup for 2:00 (more than enough time, as the hospital is less than 15 minutes away). 2:00 came and went. Around 2:10, I called the company to get an ETA. That is when I learned that the driver was 20 minutes away. I was hesitant to cancel because this was a very important appointment. Then again, I was afraid that the doctor would cancel on us if we were late. I told the woman on the phone that I expected a refund if the doctor canceled due to their tardiness. She said absolutely not and refused to accept responsibility for their poor scheduling. She was completely indifferent about the fix we were in. Thankfully, the driver showed up and my Dad's doctor was wonderfully flexible about us being late. A nurse in his office even warned us to never use this transport company, so it's clear they don't have a good reputation. Save your money and time and avoid this place at all costs.

I had a horrible experience with H&M Transport. I scheduled two appointments for my grandmother on the same day, who has serious health issues, and while the first part of the day went relatively well, things quickly went downhill from there.
For the first appointment, the departure was fine, but on the way back, we had a different driver. While I have no issue with a female driver, there was a serious problem when it came to transferring my grandmother up the stairs. It’s not a one-person job—two men have had difficulty with it before from the H&M Company. The lack of preparation led to us waiting for another driver to come help, and the delay was quite long. While waiting wasn’t the main issue, my grandmother needs oxygen 24/7, so the lack of proper preparation caused a lot of anxiety given her condition.
Then came the second appointment, and the service only got worse. My grandmother had a critical heart-related appointment scheduled for 3:30 PM, just 15 minutes away. I booked the pick-up for 3:00 PM, a week in advance, thinking I had allowed enough time. At 3:10 PM, I received a call from dispatch saying the driver would be late. By 3:28 PM, just two minutes before the appointment, I had to cancel because no one from H&M showed up, and we were still six miles away from the doctor’s office. This was an important appointment for her heart issues, and they failed to get us there on time.
When I went to their office to complain, the office manager, Sendi Joya, was completely dismissive. It took her 10 minutes to even admit it was H&M's fault, and instead of showing any remorse, she told me "You should've scheduled the pick-up earlier." I had already provided a good margin, and their website specifically asks, “What time do you need to be there?”—they should be responsible for ensuring clients get to appointments on time.
Overall, this was a horrible experience, and their lack of preparation and accountability was unacceptable. I will definitely tell my friends who require wheelchair transportation to stay away from H&M, as they won't be there when you really need it.

I give this company a five star review. Today we used this company to take my sister to a doctors appointment. The two gentlemen that came out was very professional and knowledgeable about their job. My sister is handicap and she is also a big woman. Jose Mejia and his helper Tony was on it. They treated my sister with the upmost respect and she was impressed with them. Our first experience was not so good. The 5 stars go to Jose and Tony. Great job guys.For every appointment my sister Tina Floyd has, I will personally request the service of Jose and Tony.

H&M transported my Mother from Fairfax Hospital to my home for hospice care. They were kind, gentle and professional. Margel G. did a wonferful job and handled her with much care during the whole transfer. Thanks for making our experience a great one; while dealing with everything we had going on.

H&M is by far the very best transportation company I've ever used. They're phenomenal and obviously really care about their clients. When asked, the drivers have consistently told me how much they love their jobs and the company itself. That's virtually unheard of nowadays and says so much about the exceptional business and interpersonal practices of H&M. After several horrible experiences with other transportation companies, it's such a huge relief to finally have found a company that actually cares about their clients and works hard to make the process smooth and efficient for us! I have severe anxiety from trauma and struggled badly with some other transportation companies: to the extent that I even had to cancel needed medical appointments because I couldn't risk being stranded far from home by their unreliable service. That is never a problem with H&M. I've learned that they won't give me cause to worry. I trust them completely, which is not something I get to say very often about anyone or anything.
I've had excellent experiences with every single driver but one person really stands out and I believe she deserves recognition. Her name is Roma and she is genuinely one of the best human beings I've ever met. She's not only excellent at her job, she's also kind and thoughtful and friendly and so easy to talk to! I can honestly say that just seeing her arrive to pick me up instantly relieves my stress, puts me at ease, and makes me feel safe and happy. I'm deeply grateful to have met her. Roma makes the world a better place just by being herself. She perfectly represents all the best qualities of H&M Transportation.
I can't say enough about how wonderful H&M Transportation and their employees are. They are a true rarity in this age of sloppy, callous, inefficient business models and a huge asset to the community. Please consider them whenever you need this type of transportation service; I promise you will not regret it!
