I have never written a negative review in my life, but this place is in need of one. The positive reviews that have been written on this site are most likely written by employees and family members of the business, so I will give an honest review of exactly how they conduct business. My advice is to stay away from this business! Approximately mid July, I contacted Bresnahan Moving and spoke to the owner. I told him that I lived in Salem and needed help moving approximately 125 boxes from my apartment at the end of August "2024". I told him that I would load the truck that I had rented, and all I needed was for his employees to carry the boxes out of my apartment and place them on the truck. He told me that it sounded like I needed a couple of hours or so, and it would not be a problem. He said he would send 3 employees plus himself, at a cost of $80 an hour per person. I asked him if he could book me now and he said "Oh, there's plenty of time. Call me when the time gets closer". This seemed strange to me because he did not give me a time limit to call him, and I don't know why he could not have just penciled me in for the end of August. So, for the next two months, I thought I had movers locked on. At the end of July, I started getting uncomfortable not having a permanent date locked on, so I called Bresnahan Moving again, and spoke to a woman in the office. I told her that the owner told me to call when my move date got closer, but I was calling five weeks early just to make sure that everything would be all set. She told me that they are booked all the way through September. I told her about my conversation with the owner and she said that she would check the phone conversation records and would have the owner call me the following Friday afternoon or the following Monday. He never called either day. I waited for two weeks and I called the office again and explained once again why I was calling. This woman said that I spoke with another woman in the office. She said that she would find out what's going on and would definitely have the owner call me. I told her that this was extremely unprofessional as everyone appears to be ignoring me. She assured me that I would get a phone call. It has been two weeks since my last call to the office and once again, he never called. This put me in a jam, as I had already rented a 26 foot truck and now I had no movers. I just want to put this out there to show what this company is all about. From the owner of the company, to the two female office workers that completely ignored me. They were probably too busy writing great reviews about their company. Think twice before dealing with these unprofessionals!

I had used this Co before and was honest with Joe then, expressed my view that although very efficient I had no time to direct movers where to place items as they moved too fast and scattered everywhere but he did offer to come back and place bed on opposite wall or anything I disapproved of so I appreciated that very much and decided that my next move I would call his Co. Again and keeping that in mind, this time his quote was good ,explained I didn't have as much furniture and we were all set. The day of he looked around and stated I never told him I didn't have as much furniture and was mostly boxes and items including a large old silk big leaf plant in a clay pot amongst others. Right away he said it would be at least $400 more so I agreed. In new place marked boxes were not in respective rooms they got tossed, my new 2 sliding door TV stand was handled roughly my son had to readjust screws I heard his guy say: piece of "$**t" before flopping it sideways hitting floor then slamming to floor, the drawers they didnt secure. My tv screen was not covered before moving into the truck they filled it with handprints we all know tv screens should not be touched due to their lcd displays easily disrupted and ruin picture,that tv cost me over 3k and it was roughly handled. I didn't have much furniture but my pieces are expensive,old, antiques and need care but that doesn't matter CARE should be taken with anyone's pieces. To my main point: they never unloaded my precious Silk large Plant!! I don't have it, they stole it Joe even after all the pictures I sent him and him jokingly saying to me " must have been the one I placed in a lobby...." I told him please get it back it's valuable to me sent pictures loads of them and he has ignored me never even attempted to send me an insurance claim or apologize or say let me backtrack where I may have delivered it by mistake..nothing!! Silence only! this proves you and your crew are 💯 guilty Beware of this Company they are crooks! Joe to your reply if the plant wasn't boxed you should had us take it with us like other stuff . You just said you put in lobby I sent you a picture of it why arent you goin in this " LOBBY and go get it for me and return it to me? Obviously you do want my old 20 yr old plant and why you keep ignoring my phone calls and why didn't you mail me my receipt of what I signed?. You have picture of plant you know where it is now do the right thing and return it to me. We trusted you all and then you pull this stuff! I want my plant back!!

Joe and his crew did a fantastic job of moving us into our new home. They were prompt, quick, and very careful with our items. I will definitely call them if I ever move again.

Unfortunately I would not use them again. I had a small move, took 2 hours and cost 1300+ more than what I was quoted and not told of extra charges. The crew was very good.

The guys were great. Very efficient and careful with all furniture and my home. Joe Bresnahan was on top of everything and directed the crew and all went so smoothly. So glad I used this moving company. Money well spent. Great job highly recommend.
