Why would you try to impose more insurance requirements on the already over burdened transportation industry when the bulk of the truck vs car crashes are caused by THE CARS!! Have you never drove though your city of Chicago and witnessed how you all drive up there?? Weaving in and out. exiting to the right from the left lane, cutting trucks off and the list goes on! It is very unfortunate that those of you elected to work for the people continually want to work against those of us trying to make a living - SAFELY. We see you all on your cell phones, it is literally 1 out of 4 people driving cars while staring at their phones!! I have counted more than once. Its way past time people start taking responsibility for their own ignorant actions!! What about all the truck drivers who have given their lives to AVOID hitting a car who pulled out in front of them, ran them off the road while staring at their phones, or who brake checked them because they thought it was funny, why don't we talk about that?? How about making sure the drivers of these cars have adequate insurance to cover $250,000 worth of Tractor trailers? All I am asking for is a little consideration and common sense from Washington DC, you all see how the majority of cars and trucks drive while you are out and it doesn't matter where, its always the same, and the truck always gets the blame. It would sure be nice if we could figure out how to enforce the LAWS we already have and protect The Constitution of the United States as vigorously as we attack the trucking industry. If you actually read this then Thank you for at least taking the time to do so, I had to post it here because since I don't live in your district I cant email you directly.
