This review is a few months late only because I was waiting to get the substantial reimbursement check for damages from the corporate office. Post-move, management was sympathetic and worked hard to ‘make it right’, but that doesn’t change the horror that was our experience with Miracle Movers Pittsburgh. Here’s what happened in late June: Though I had booked the move 6 weeks in advance and received a reminder the day before that the crew would arrive at 930, no one showed up until after 1PM (attempts to contact the company earlier were unsuccessful). The crew were not wearing company uniforms. We soon discovered that they had the ‘wrong truck’, and didn’t have the boxes we were promised. They left and returned with a Penske rental after 5PM. Shortly after the move started one of the young men asked me if I had a screwdriver (this was a $4000 job!). Other shenanigans ensued but they finished loading after 9PM. Upon receiving the goods in Maryland the next day, the crew as well as the manager, got into arguments with my sister and were very unprofessional. At this point I noted that someone, not me or anyone in my family, ‘signed’ the contract and insurance waiver that we were supposed to have signed before the move started. Also, they irreparably damaged several pieces of our fine furniture, dirtied our upholstery, and even somehow lost some small items. This was NOT the service that was promised us, especially for what we paid. Please be wary of what Andrew, the manager, will sell you as he promised us that the crews were top notch, they would protect and wrap everything, and provide some packing materials. NONE of this happened as promised, and our possessions (and spirits) are only worse off because of it. This was NOT how we wanted to spend the last night in our home of over 55 years.

I booked with Miracle Movers. Discussed all details of the move. Talked to them at least 5 times before the move and received an email confirmation. The day before we received an email reminder of the move. Also spoke with them 3 times on the way from Michigan to Pittsburgh. They did NOT show up!!! Would not answer their phone. At one point he finally texted and said he was trying to get in touch with the crew. Inexcusable! Terrible business! They left us in a lurch with no one to help. At 10 pm that night they said they would be there in 20 minutes! By then we had called and book someone to come help the next morning. I told them that they were 6 hours late and we have a baby that is asleep. What the hell? What kind of business just does not show up or communicate. DO NOT USE MIRACLE MOVERS! They are nice when booking then do not show up. I would NEVER hire them again.

We had an amazing experience. I was really nervous looking for movers to help downsize my mom’s house after hearing so many horror stories of different companies. They took their time giving a thorough estimate and explaining everything to us. On the day of the move Frank, Neil, and Brandon were amazing! They were extremely careful wrapping all of her delicate antiques and furniture. I was so impressed with how polite, helpful, and kind all three of them were. They worked extremely hard all day. It really felt like they truly cared about making us comfortable during a highly stressful day. I will use this company for any moving needs I have in the future. I can not say enough how pleased we were. Edited to add: They placed everything exactly where my mom wanted and set everything back up that was taken apart for the move. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to do walkthroughs on each end to ensure nothing was missed and that we were satisfied before leaving.

Our moving experience with (Miracle Movers - Pittsburgh, PA) was highly unsatisfactory. They arrived over two hours late on both packing and moving days. After packing for only two hours, they claimed to run out of boxes and left without returning that day. The next day, they arrived with a smaller, rented vehicle instead of the agreed-upon one, necessitating two trips instead of one. They also did not bring a toolbox for disassembling the beds, requiring us to provide our own. Significant damage occurred to a mattress and furniture, and they attempted to upcharge us by $2,500, later reducing it to over $1,000 above the original estimate. Despite the total move distance being less than 6-miles (~13 minutes) apart. They have yet to address the damaged goods, despite having photos and videos of the damage from day one. I am now seeking redress legally. I would not recommend this organization based on our experience.
