I couldn't be happier with the service I received from all members of the Oz Moving team. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful with long-distance moving and storage. The team arrived on time, handled all my belongings with great care, and made the entire process stress-free. The Oz Moving team even went above and beyond by not only delivering my belongings but also helping me set up some of the larger furniture in my new place. Their helpfulness was truly appreciated. I appreciated the transparent pricing, with no hidden fees or unexpected charges. The crew was friendly and approachable, and patient with my building's insurance requirements.

We helped our daughter do an across town move. We scheduled an hourly move as she didn't have that much stuff. We were charged for 3.5 hours when the job only took 1.5 hours! Quite a rip off! When we asked the customer service person they said the minimum they can pay employees in the state of NY is 4 hours. I didn't see how that was my problem to pay people for 2 hours of work they didn't do at $180/hour! This was not an employee issue. The movers were good. It was an administrative issue.

Oz handled a small move for me yesterday between NYC and Philadelphia. I was hesitant to book them because of negative reviews on Yelp, and I did pay for additional insurance in case of breakables. That said, Oz was absolutely super from beginning to end: Lamar Williams was an excellent customer service rep, completely clear and straightforward and timely in his responses; and the moving team of Jose and Ricardo were exceptional, showing up right on time and ensuring that everything was packed carefully and unloaded properly. Jose noted that 2 of the screws holding the bed together were stripped, so that I could stop to get new screws en route so that the reassembly would be smooth. There are some scuff marks on a few pieces of furniture from the black plastic packing materials, particularly a large mirror where some of the gold paint on the frame came off. However, nothing broke. The team was patient in moving the rug and couch when the original placement looked too tight for the room. Jose and Ricardo were pleasant and professional even in 95 degree heat, and there were no surprise costs. Lastly, this is the only moving company I found that did not have a 5000 lb minimum (meaning all other quotes started at 5K). This was a very small, short-distance move that under other circumstances, I might have done myself with a U-Haul. I have medical issues that made that impossible, and I am grateful to Oz for providing a rate based largely on mileage to make the move more affordable for me. Thank you Jose, Ricardo, and Lamar! Highly recommend.

I recently hired Oz to manage my move from Brooklyn, NY, to Southern California, shelling out a substantial $10,000 plus tip for their services. To my dismay, they caused a staggering $3100 in damages to my property. Oz's negligence resulted in the destruction of our daughter's brand-new bed frame and mattress, along with a 55" OLED TV that was previously in perfect condition. We had paid extra for Oz to handle the packing and preparation of these items, but their improper handling and packing methods led to the damage. I don't know how you can break a mattress, but somehow they managed. What's even more infuriating is Oz's refusal to take responsibility for their actions. They dismissively claim that this is a "high-risk industry" and insist we should have purchased additional insurance coverage, shifting the blame onto us. This response is entirely unacceptable, given their incompetence. Hiring a moving company for packing should mean you don't need to spend extra on insurance – a competent company should ensure the safety of your items. If you read other reviews you'll see the same complaints, and the same casual indifference from Oz. I can only give them one star because I have to, and that's solely because our belongings eventually arrived. To be fair, I had used Oz before without issue. I'm not sure if the company changed owners or if something changed due to the pandemic, but buyer beware - Oz isn't worth the risk.

Moving is never easy but our experience with Oz was as benign as possible. Getting our estimate was efficient and quick. The moving crew showed up on time and were also quick, efficient and courteous. The price of the move was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Oz and already have.
