THEY STEAL YOUR STUFF!!!!!They grabbed my backpack when loading stuff in truck. It wasn’t marked to take or anything on the paper or with stickers. Had my passports and federal I.d in my wallet. It went missing and they can’t “find them “. They are horrible. Stole my personal property. Every time I call they say I will call you back and don’t. SCAMMERS. They are foreigners. My lawyer will be in contact with them.UPDATE SO THE OWNER WANTS TO MESSSAGE US AND SAY WE MISPLACED IT. ITS FUNNY THAT ALL MY THINGS ARRIVE BUT MY BACKPACK THAT HAD ALL MY Important INFORMATION IN IT. I HAVE HAD A PASSPORT ALL MY LIFE AND NEVER LOST IT. BUT THE MINUTE WE HIRE THIS SCAM OF A MOVING COMPANY ITS GONE. WE HAD IT OFF TO THE SIDE SO WE CAN TAKE IN THE VEHICLE. WE NEVER NOTICED IT WAS GONE UNTIL I NEEDED IT FOR WORK. OF COURSE ITS NOT ON THE INVENTORY LIST BECAUSE YOUR MOVER THAT HAD A HELPER THAT YOU GUYS WHERE NOT AWARE OF PROBABLY GRABBED IT. I DONT CARE ABOUT A CLAIM I WANT MY STUFF BACK. I didn’t even have much stuff so for you guys to say I misplaced it is an insult.LOOK AT ALL YOUR REVIEWS STUFF IS STOLEN SND MISSING. ITS FUNNY YOU SAY I MISPLACED MY THINGS AND I HAVE OTHER PEOPLES STUFF IN MY BOXES THAT WHERE OPEN. I HAD A GPS TRACKER ON MY STUFF THAT SAT IN THE WAREHOUSE FOR 3 WEEKS AND HAD DEAD BUGS AND FLYS ALL OVER.

I cannot begin to implore you enough to reconsider using this company. We booked a move through US Standard Moving which had 4+ ratings. We are moving from Monterey to DC. We liked the sales rep, thought we got a fair price and expected a good experience. We were never told that our belongings would be picked up by a subsidiary moving company and that they would sit in a warehouse anywhere from 14-30 days before they were even re-loaded onto a different truck and sent to DC. Our experience thus far has been so deplorable I am very concerned I will never receive my belongings or that they will be severely damaged by this company that does not seem to care about customer service nor hiring professional movers. Day of move: Best Moving called the night before and said they would arrive between 9 am-12 pm. They showed up at 2:45 pm. I was never told by US Standard that I needed a cashier's check for half the move and that they would not even begin packing until they had one. They started packing after 3:30 pm once US Standard agreed to take a personal check. I had a hotel booked 3 hours away and had scheduled to begin my drive to DC that afternoon thinking the movers would arrive in the morning. The 4 movers did not wear masks, they each used my toilet for a #2 despite me saying my bathrooms were cleaned and not for use. They scuffed and dented my walls in a dozen places and I watched them literally slide my mattress down the stairs and it crashed into the wall. I had to ask them to please use moving blankets on several pieces of expensive furniture they were going to load with just plastic wrap on. I will say the 4 person crew was super chatty and nice and they all informed me they are not professional movers but do this part-time to earn tips. So I felt guilted to go to the bank to tip the non-professional men who arrived late, smelled up my bathrooms, and dented my walls. As they had everything loaded they mentioned to me my belongings were not going to DC, instead they were going to a warehouse in Santa Clara where they would sit for 7-14 days. After 10 days, my items still have not shipped. I left 2 messages with the sales rep, 2 messages with US Standard Moving customer service and finally called Best Moving Van Lines to find out when my items would arrive. THEY HAD NO DATE SCHEDULED FOR DELIVERY. My items are sitting in a warehouse in Santa Clara and the company has no date scheduled to move them. I spent 30 minutes arguing with the service rep who told me she was the only customer service personnel for the entire company and that there were no managers available to answer my questions and that they would just tell me the same thing if one was available. She belittled my concerns and I got angry. She told me it was standard practice to keep items 21-30 days before shipping them to the destination and they would send me an email letting me know when they were on their way. AN EMAIL? This is unacceptable. After nearly losing my mind, she finally conceded to put me on hold for 15 min to wait for a manager who was somewhat more helpful than she was. He told me to send AN EMAIL with my earliest delivery date. What does that mean? I expected my items to be shipped 10 days ago. I contracted with US Standard Moving and they NEVER mentioned my items would sit in a warehouse and be delivered when they felt like it. No one mentioned I had to send an email to "confirm" some expected delivery date. No one will tell me when I can expect my belongings. They have $6400 of my money, my ENTIRE household of belongings and they will not tell me when or if my belongings will arrive. I will reiterate that when I gave US Standard Moving my downpayment on the move, I was never informed a subsidiary of the company would be conducting the move. This company is deceptive, unprofessional and unhelpful when you are trying to locate the whereabouts of your entire life that is sitting in a warehouse.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! At least not if you value your time, energy, money, and furniture! I hired Best Moving Van Line this last September through a moving broker. HUGE MISTAKE! They were 3 days late for pick up causing me to delay my move cross country by two weeks! When they finally arrived 2 weeks later absolutely refused payment until all my items were packed in their truck. This was to hide all the extra charges added to my bill. The mover crossed off the optional insurance on my contract! Also, upon delivery, refused to let me see or inspect anything until final payment was made. Entertainment center and Tiffany lamp ($35 for box) completely destroyed and my 50 inch is flat screen tv ($100 for box) missing/stolen. Several erroneous charges : - parked further away for walk charge - I had half the boxes I was told I could have and charged for being over capacity (I had triple checked) - I was told one flight of stairs at pickup and delivery was included. Their definition of a staircase is 6 steps. I'D LIKE TO KNOW HOW A PERSON CAN GET TO THE SECOND FLOOR IN 6 STEPS. Charged for both. I was reassured several times a staircase was included! -estimate was for $2,000 actually charged $3,400 Upon seeing that the entertainment center was completely destroyed I was told there would be a dump fee! I now have to PAY THEM to destroy a piece of furniture and haul it?!!! The movers told me if I tipped them they would "take care of it" ! (Dump on highway?) I called the broker who had obviously dealt with complaints regarding these movers in the past, and Best Moving Van Lines, filled out the complaint/claim form, jumped through all their hoops, waited the 4-6 weeks for a reply; I finally got one. $99 settlement! THAT DOESN'T EVEN COVER THE COST OF THE CARDBOARD BOX FOR THE TV!. Settlement never came. No surprise. I am still upset with myself for not calling the police department upon discovering my possessions were stolen and mutilated and not filing a report. Contacting Consumer Affairs next. . .

It has been the worst moving experience I have ever had. This company never told me that they would rent a third company "Best Move Van Line". They changed my pick up date from one day to the next, it arrived an hour earlier than expected. He said they would deliver to me within a period of 5 days. 2 weeks passed, every day I wrote they gave me 6 different numbers. Everyone told me that they didn't know the date. I wrote 3 emails to this company. One day they made me wait for them for 3 hours. Finally after 2 weeks they delivered me with a missing item in one of my boxes and damage to one of my furniture. Now there is no one to replace my missing one.

Literally the worst experience! It was our first interstate move and it took about two months for our belongings to arrive AFTER we reached out destination. Each time we called about the status, there would be an excuse for the delay. The worst thing about this is that we went through a broker and they hired these guys on the day of the move so we did not find out until the actual day came. The broker's name is One Source Van Lines - another company that makes promises but does not keep them. Please do yourself a favor and avoid these two like the plague, save yourself the trouble and the stress. They even LOST our brand-new vacuum (over $200) and compensated $6.60 for the claim.
