Michigan First Credit Union had my vehicle picked up by Signature Recovery on 7-9-24. I called Michigan First and got everything sorted to redeem the vehicle, and after taking care of that, I was told I could come and pick up the vehicle. I was on my way to the business to pick up the vehicle, and I was told to make an appointment before showing up. I called the business and spoke to a rude individual. I told him that I wanted to schedule a time to pick up my vehicle, and then he asked what vehicle and what time I would be coming. So, I told him a Durango and said I would get there at 4:20 PM before they close, as per their Google-listed time. He told me that they close at 4:00 PM and not 4:20 PM, and asked for an actual time. So, I told him I would be there at 3:50 PM. I ended up getting there at 2:52 PM, despite heavy traffic. When I walked into the building, I told the man what car I was there for, and he said, "Oh, you're the 3:50 guy, does it look like it's 3:50?" I stayed quiet and didn't respond. Then he told me that I could lose the attitude or come back at 3:50. At this point, I got irritated, but I didn't do anything but smile and keep quiet. After that, he told me to leave, and I started asking him why. He said that I was being rude and disrespectful on the phone with him and in the office as well. I asked him what I had said or done that was disrespectful. He said I didn't answer his question. After that, we started arguing about how me not answering his question isn't being rude, and he started yelling and cussing at me. Then his partner pulled up and parked directly on the grass in front of the building, jumped out of the car with a gun, and ran up to the door, rushing at me as if he wanted to do something. At this point, I ended up calling the police, and they searched the building for a firearm and found one. Then I was served with a paper to stay off the property for one year, all because I didn't come into the building with a smile on my face.

This place is top notch. I think the negative reviews are sorely misguided. My truck got repossessed BECAUSE I screwed up- not because of these guys. I broke my contract agreement with the finance company. These guys were just doing their job. So all the hate for these guys is very unjustified. My truck got repo’d Tuesday Morning. I called the yard at a little after they opened at 10am and the gentleman that answered the phone was polite and understanding and very helpful. I suppose if you called giving them smoke you likely got the smoke. They were absolutely professional. Respect is earned not given. You get what you give. Called them to set up an appointment and they let me come out the same day and they allowed me to come get my possessions no hard time given. Just forfeit the keys (they belong to the finance company anyway) and my photo ID. Absolutely nothing unreasonable. When I got there to retrieve my belongings, the one guy moved the cars in front of mine with finesse. He was very impressive to watch with how he maneuvered the cars. Not a doubt in my mind- these guys are true professionals. The odds of them damaging the cars is slim to none. I’m extremely skeptical if they have ever damaged a car in their possession, maybe in the very rare case of an actual accident. They even drove my truck to the front of yard so I could get all my tools out, which they didn’t have to do. Lots of negative reviews claim personal property was missing. Not. A. Chance. I had over $5000 of tools in my truck including a handful of cash in the visor. They could have easily yanked a wrench or ratchet or even the cash and I would have been none the wiser and yet they didn’t. Everything was exactly where I left it. These guys don’t need your Windows 95 Dell Laptop or your IPhone 4. I promise. This tow/repo company treated me with respect and dignity though I was embarrassed. They were truly stand up guys. They don’t deserve the shade these reviews cast. Thank you guys. I appreciate your professionalism and your respect.

my friends car was taken here and when we picked it up the back bumper was dented and paint is chipped off. there was literally no prior damage to the back bumper. no one said anything about the damage either-car was only on lot for 2 days.

The negative reviews have to be false. I had nothing but a good experience. My car had no damage or missing property at all and I definitely did not experience any hostility or racism from them. They took very good care of me and my situation. The boss stayed over after hours to help me get everything situated with my car and I’m a very impatient person at times lol. They were very kind about giving me information to quickly resolve my issue also. They are also very professional when conducting business. Overall they took very good care of me and my car.
