NIGHTMARE. RUN AWAY. BAIT AND SWITCH. They will quote you lower than others then when all of your items are packed and on the truck tell you that you owe double/triple the cost quoted for the move. They held my items hostage in a warehouse in Seattle while I tried to negotiate with them. They also double charged my credit card without my authorization. They lost two couch cushions, broke lamps, planter bases, and glassware. These people are trash.

The movers themselves were great, worked hard and fast, but I haven't had a good experience with the expectations that were set. For example, I was told that I would be given a delivery date the day the movers picked up my stuff. That turned out to be not true. Not only that, the date range for delivery is from July 15th to July 28th. When you are paying rent in some of these bigger cities, that means you may be paying over 1.5K extra. I paid roughly $5.5K for the move from Seattle to SF. Not sure if this is a good value or not, but I can tell you that they will nickle and dime you for everything you add to your list. 7/24 update: Right now, two items are not working, and my desk is damaged. I did get insurance, so I am waiting to see how they handle the claims. If the process goes smoothly, I will increase my rating. If not, I will go to a 1 star because I paid extra for insurance. For reference, they physically broke my peloton bike while trying to move it (warranty wont cover because of clear physical damage). Other items are Eight sleep bed not working, and pretty strong dent/scratches to my working desk. 8/26 update: Mona, from the customer team, was able to save the day. Overall, I am happy I used Cross Country movers.

Payed $4500 so I wouldn’t have to worry about my valuables being transported to my new home out of state. Both tvs broken, broke all my vintage lamps, brand new $600 coffee table. Move yourself to avoid this lack of care

Recently moved to the Chicago area about a month ago and after doing a lot of research decided to go with Cross Country. We had an excellent experience with them. They did a home visit gave a very reasonable estimate. He was pretty honest and upfront about the pricing and I liked that about him. He assured us of great service tho we would get. They came on time and were super efficient. Extremely careful and excellent packers. Thank you for your great service. Everything was packed super carefully and well wrapped. I must admit had it not been for their expertise our stuff would have never have reached in one piece. Truly grateful for it.

Peter was great with communicating with me to arrange the move. He responded to emails promptly (great customer service). When moving day came along, Chris and Paul checked in with me twice prior to arrival (they considerately informed me that they were stuck in traffic and will be late). They quickly, safely, and efficiently moved all my stuff. I am very pleased with their services and plan to hire them again for my 2nd move next month. I highly recommend their team.
