What a absolutely horrible company to deal with. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! We hired them to move us to Puerto Rico. First we were rushed to "make it on the boat" we let them "pack" our largest items since they "guaranteed" if they pack it they would be responsible for it. That wasn't true. They unpacked some of my items and "searched" for full alcohol bottles (I collect high end alcohol bottles which they thought had the alcohol in them still) , they demolished a beautiful desk, a brand new freezer, a TV and so much else. We never got our weight tickets, we were charged 14,000. for no furniture, just boxes and a few larger items...not even a vehicle went. They also took 3+ months to get my items to PR. They offered us a whole 250 reimbursement. What a joke, I'm out thousands and they continue to screw people over. Like I said, never use this company cause in the end they don't stand by anything they say

We were lucky enough to have the same team from Slater make two different deliveries, and in both cases they were friendly, efficient, responsive, and courteous. The second delivery was an all-day effort with our shipment of household goods, and Mike, Henry, and Lessie worked hard from start to finish and were unfailingly helpful to the end. We would be happy to work with them again anytime.

I've heard so many unscrupulous stories about moving companies so I felt it was imperative I give my 2 cents worth about Slater Transfer and Storage. If you are planning a move, don't hesitate to consider another company for the safety of your valuable possessions. They are honest, dependable, communicative, reliable and extremely helpful and friendly, and I highly recommend them for your peace of mind.
