Overall, super disappointed with my experience. The initial estimate call was fantastic, and I chose this company over other cheaper options because of the positive and helpful experience I had at the beginning. Unfortunately, that's where the "good parts" end. I was explicit from the beginning that I had a small end table with fragile wood bordering that would need extra care when packed. I was assured this would be done. However and as you can see in the attached picture, one whole section was broken, clearly from poor packing. A piece of cardboard was simply put over the top of the table and as items shifted, the box bent and broke one side of the bordering. The movers also broke a wooden bookcase. I asked during the estimate call whether Solomon & Sons outsourced any part of their move to a third party, which they said they do not. This is incorrect, because a separate company collected my items from the pickup location. Aside from broken items, the worst part of this experience was the incredibly poor communication after getting the pickup scheduled. I was informed that I would get a 24-hour notice for pickup, however the driver only called when he was 45 minutes away. Someone luckily was home when he arrived, but I was frustrated not to have had more notice and my father had to scramble to accommodate. From that point on, I had to repeatedly call the third party company for delivery estimates because the main office was no longer tracking. Several times that company said they would call or email me with information and none of which happened. Even the claims process for my damaged items has been difficult and is still not resolved. I called Solomon & Sons, who told me to send them details and photographs, which I did immediately. After a week of no response, I reached out for an update and was told I would receive a separate email for a different location to file a claim. I can already tell this will be a long and irritating process. While I won't discount that others have had a positive experience, I am disappointed that I did not go with a different company and I would not recommend Solomon & Sons to others.

Both to and from teams were fabulous! Very professional, carefully wrapped items like the TV and mirrors and true to their pick up and delivery dates and times. Igor and Leo. Highly recommend. We had a great out of state moving experience with Solomon & Sons.

This is the most important review i have given. I have had many experiences with moving companies in our corporate life, which was more then 12 times, but Solomon & Sons Relocation has been the very best experience. I want to give a shout out to some wonderful people at their company. Forrest and Adam and their crew of packers and loaders were amazing. It was not an easy job for many reason but they did excellent work and had patience with this senior lady. Also i was helped many times by Kiesha, Customer Relations, with all my questions and needs through out this difficult move for my husband and myself. Her patience with me was unbelievable and I greatly appreciated it. We are closing on our house in 10 days and looking forward to the next experience of receiving our home contents they have so kindly stored for us during our move. They blatantly lied when they confirmed only their staff would pack. They lied about their expertise. They recklessly packed and destroyed our property. They intentionally damaged our floors. They lied repeatedly on the bill of lading. They lied that the truck was full. They are deceitful, unscrupulous, and overcharged us at every turn. They sent unskilled labor who left a wave of destruction. We hired them to pack our home and relied on their advertised expertise but they destroyed our property, left us with an exorbitant repair bill of approximately $35K including overcharges and damaging our brand new floors and offered us $607. Their negligence was reckless, willful and deliberate. 1) They falsified documents indicating we packed items they themselves packed—they packed every single painting, lamp, antique, appliance, fragile item and claim they didn’t. 2) Gross accounting misrepresentations: Egregiously, and potentially fraudulently, they told us the truck was full (and charged for full) but when we demanded they open the truck, we discovered it was not full. 3) CUFT & fuel fraudulent overcharge: After we caught the foreman lying, he deceitfully coded cuft as “additional discount $765” instead of correcting the cuft, which inflated the storage bill & gas, resulting in $2,000 of overcharges & excess fuel. 4) Intentional damage to new floors: We asked movers to stop using their damaged hand truck which was scratching and destroying the floor—they refused; said “We aren’t responsible for floors.” Their malicious negligence caused extensive and preventable damage everywhere. 5) Willful and intentional property damage: They jammed artwork in boxes side by side without bubble wrap, which scratched & chipped frames and glass; they packed a heavy Cuisinart ice cream maker inside a lamp shade! broke it; broke $740 Tizio lamp by bending & shoving it into too small box; stored a heavy box on an antique bench-destroying the upholstery; they wedged sharp objects against leather-ripping jackets; unsecured wardrobe boxes collapsed-destroyed suede/ties/jackets if we are lucky, can be repaired but over $1000 for dry cleaning; flimsy to no packing of appliances (several thousand dollars of damgage, leaks,dents,broken sensors); cracked our bed frames; broken vases/all lamps, china. Movers packed all, but fraudulently claim they didn’t to deny liability. 6) Packing charge: We paid several thousand dollars for a “full packing service” but instead their deliberate, reckless “packing” and their intentional negligence caused extraordinary damage. 7) Labor Overcharge. They said, yes, we are only sending ONLY our men 3/4, enough to do the job, but then they sent only two. The 2nd day they hired two outside day laborers last minute—charged us additional $1440! 8) They denied large parts of the claim because they said we didn’t notate/check inventory at delivery/signed—False! We preserved our right to pursue claim by signing “without prejudice” and they accepted the documents. It’s obvious there isn’t sufficient time to simultaneously inspect 250 cargo items at delivery (regardless, we signed without prejudice)- their claim gives “cover” for theft. 9) False advertising “Nationwide moving experts you can trust; Reliable award-winning service; Your move is simpler, safer, and more affordable when you go with our expert services.” Instead they deceived us, repeatedly lied, falsified documents, made gross false misrepresentations, took advantage of us, destroyed our belongings. 10) Storage Overcharge: Inaccurate & inflated bill-foreman manipulated cuft, failed to deduct unused space. 11) Forced us to pay to receive our goods: Company personnel repeatedly ignored & refused multiple requests to meet and review disputed overcharges. They refused to let us notate disputes on documents—forced us to sign/pay their DocuSign to get our goods; our calculations showed they owed us money, but we had to pay $4,399 (3rd payment in cash).

Solomon and Sons made my move very easy and stress-free. As a single woman moving out of state, It was very important that I find a mover who was ethical and in whom I could place my confidence with my personal property. They protected my furniture ensuring that everything was placed in my new home as it left my old home. Their packing skills were amazing! I was concerned about moving in to a condominium building in which I had to pay a security deposit in the case of damage caused by the movers. The deposit was immediately returned to me, as they were very careful not to damage the elevators and hallways of the condominium building. They also were on time both picking up and dropping off my furniture. And, they communicated very well. I was concerned to spend the money for hiring movers. In the end, it made my move carefree. I appreciate Solomon and Sons for a job well done.
