I walked in to this U-Haul location. Waited in line patiently for my turn. Person at the counter didn’t greet us upon approaching the counter. She was too busy doodling her name on a blank piece of paper. There were no other customers or staff members in the building. I greeted her and said that I wanted to inquire about a truck rental. Her response in an unwelcoming tone was “Do you have a reservation?!” I said “No ma’am, I’m a walk in and would like to inquire about renting a truck?”. She seemed bothered and said “Next time, you MUST have a reservation with us before coming in…”. By now I’m thrown off by the type of customer service I’m getting at this point. A few more questions were asked and I answered. She asked “How many miles will you be using?” I said “Oh? I’m not sure. Can I guess?”. Again she responded with attitude and asked “You’re renting a truck and don’t know how many miles you’ll be using?”. By now I felt like she was talking to me as if I’m having a hard time understanding her. Another employee approached the desk by now. So I said to the current employee I was dealing with “I’m sorry, go ahead and cancel all my information I just provided to you. I don’t understand why you’re talking to us in a way that wasn’t provoked? Thank you and have a good day.”. The other employee just looked stump. She didn’t apologize nor try to save a customer. After so much searching, I ended up doing it all online. Do I know that’s an option? Yes. This was a last minute rental and figured it be easier to just walk in. Truck was great and did its purpose.

We were told that if we returned the trailer earlier that would be reflected in the final price. The price online ALSO reflects that discounted rate. They charged double what we were told, and refused to refund the difference, not honoring the price we were told. Will no longer be using Uhaul. The corporate response when we called was basically to our word vs. theirs, and the company did not seem to care about what was agreed upon verbally, or what it currently quotes on their website. Would not recommend, try another local company instead that honors the price online as well as what is stated verbally.

Edit: My ticket was eventually resolved and I was refunded the cost of the additional gas. I'd give 5 stars except for some reason y'all charged me for gas when I returned the truck with more gas than I started with. I submitted a ticket online and have not gotten a response. Will be happy to update to 5 stars if you address my concern.

The experience my friend and I had here was terrific. We were greeted by Stacie and taken care by Talayja. These two went above and beyond to give us quality vehicles and had a great sense of humor. Truly an easy experience due to these two.
